About the project

Developing and changing technology, widespread smartphones, social media accounts, blogs… drag people into the depths of an incredible technology age.

Long-term and intensive use of information and communication technologies by people causes very important results. In particular, we see that people who use the internet, after a while, disconnect from social life, start to show asocial personality and become insensitive to the outside world. In the new world where this intense information pollution is also experienced, it is possible to see addiction types such as Nomophobia, Phubbing, Selfie Disease (Selfitis), Electronic Insomnia and Cyberchondria in many individuals around us. Experts consider technology and internet addiction as a disease and accordingly work on the treatment of these diseases. With this project, we aim to create awareness by reaching larger masses, especially our own environment and the society we live in.

AIMS

1. To have information about the disorders caused by the misuse of technology and to raise awareness about technology addiction and its types.
2. To contribute to the awareness of students, parents and the environment on technology addiction
3. To be able to use Web 2.0 tools effectively
4. Developing foreign language skills
5. To raise individuals who are creative, intellectual, self-controlled and capable of doing something new.
6. Strengthening cooperation, communication and information exchange between schools
7. To increase intercultural interaction by getting to know different cultures

WORK PROCESS

All participating schools determine a common platform where they can stay in constant communication and interact with each work to be done and done throughout the project.
- By creating a common questionnaire in which all schools and students will participate, a survey is prepared that investigates the prevalence, awareness, causes and consequences of this issue.
- Based on the data obtained from the survey results, the issues to be focused on in our project are determined by the consensus of the project partners.
- Boards are created to raise awareness in our schools regarding the determined subjects.
Educational meetings are held to inform students, teachers and administrators.
- Brochures about the project topics are distributed to the parents of the students.
- The activities performed are shared in blogs(twinspace).
Animation films aiming to raise awareness in people are prepared.
- Our project is finalized by preparing an e-book
-Web2.0 tools are used effectively in these studies

EXPECTED RESULTS

• To contribute to the ability of people to face and change all physiological and psychological problems arising from the misuse of technology.
• Using web 2.0 tools effectively in the field of information technologies with this project:
-Blogging (Twinspace)
· Preparing a survey to ensure a democratic participation
· By designing visual and auditory activities, to reach the prepared products and the work done easily to large masses.
· To prepare posters and brochures for this purpose.
· To design an e-book containing all the work done
-To contribute to foreign language development
-To ensure cooperation between students
-Increasing interaction between cultures
